Underoath is an American Christian metalcore band based in Tampa, Florida, consisting of Aaron Gillespie, Christopher Dudley, Timothy McTague, Grant Brandell, James Smith, and Spencer Chamberlain.

Formed in 1997, the band have released seven albums, including their debut album, ‘Act of Depression’, in 1999, ‘Define the Great Line’, in 2006, ‘Ø (Disambiguation)’ in 2010, before disbanding. The group reformed in 2015, playing a run of live shows in the USA.
