Underworld are an English electronica and EDM duo from Cardiff, now based in London, consisting of singer and guitarist Karl Hyde and keyboard-player and vocalist Rick Smith.
Formed in 1980, whilst the pair worked in a diner in the Welsh capital, the band released their debut album, ‘Underneath the Radar’, in 1988, and have released a further eight albums, including their last album, ‘Barbara Barbara, We Face a Shining Future’, which was released in March 2015. Underworld are perhaps best known for their 1996 track Born Slippy .NUXX, which hit #2 in the UK Singles Chart and appeared in the hugely-popular film ‘Trainspotting’.
The band have headlined their own shows and tours across the UK, including a mini tour of the UK in March 2015, where they played their 1994 album, 'Dubnobasswithmyheadman', as well as two shows at London’s Roundhouse in March 2016.
Festival-wise, they've played Blue Dot and even headlined BBC Music's Biggest Weekend in May 2018. Underworld play the Warehouse Project in November. Catch them live by checking out the tour dates and ticket information on Stereoboard below.
