When Gavin Met Stacey: An Evening with Ruth Jones and James Corden is a one-off live event set to take place in London.

Following the show's journey from initial rejections to becoming one of the UK's best-loved comedy series, the pair co-wrote and starred in Gavin and Stacey from 2007 until its initial finale in 2010, with subsequent Christmas specials in 2019 and 2024 drawing audiences of up to 21 million.

Coinciding with the release of their upcoming book of the same name, the evening will see Ruth Jones and James Corden reunite on stage to share behind-the-scenes stories, personal reflections and previously untold moments from the making of Gavin and Stacey.

Ruth Jones—who played Nessa Jenkins—is an actress, writer and producer from Bridgend, Wales. Also known for creating and starring as the titular character in Stella, she is also recognised for roles in Nighty Night, Hattie, Saxondale, Run Away and The Other Bennet Sister. She has written four Sunday Times bestselling novels, has won BAFTA and was awarded an MBE in 2014.

James Corden—who played Neil 'Smithy' Smith—is an actor, writer and presenter from Hillingdon, England. He began to gain attention for his role in Fat Friends, where he met Ruth Jones, going on to become a star overseas when he landed a hosting gig for The Late Late Show in the USA from 2015 to 2023, earning him multiple Emmy Awards for iconic features such as Carpool Karaoke. He also received a Tony Award for his role in One Man, Two Guvnors on Broadway, and has also appeared in films such as Into the Woods, The Prom and Ocean’s 8. He was awarded an OBE in 2015.

Ruth Jones and James Corden will take over The London Palladium on October 6, 2025, in support of their upcoming book, When Gavin Met Stacey.
