Brand New Friend are a Northern Irish indie pop band from Castlerock, made up of siblings Lauren and Taylor Johnson, Aaron Milligan and Luke Harris.
After the huge success of their debut lo-fi EP 'American Wives', the band were invited to play a launch show at HMV Belfast, which quickly sold out.
The band embarked on their first Irish tour in early 2017, playing to large crowds in Dublin, Galway, Belfast and Derry/Londonderry. During their time, they've also supported for the likes of Car Seat Headrest, Parquet Courts and Real Estate, Pinegrove, Idlewild, And So I Watch You From Afar, The Smith Street Band, Cabbage and Pale Waves, at festivals and tours across Britain and Ireland.
Later in 2017 they played the Introducing Stage at BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend in Hull followed by a slot on the main stage of Indiependence Festival in Cork with The Coronas.
Their debut album, ‘Seatbelts for Aeroplanes’ was released in April 2018 on Xtra Mile Recordings, which they supported with Northern Ireland headline shows and a stint opening for Pretty Vicious.
Summer 2018 sees Brand New Friend support At The Drive In, and playing Indiependence Festival and Stendhal Festival in Limavady ahead of their set at Belfast's Custom House Square on August 23 with Kodaline and Lewis Capaldi. Then the band headline London's Waiting Room in August. Catch them live by checking out the tour dates and concert ticket information below on Stereoboard.
