Brian Wilson is an American singer, songwriter and musician, from Inglewood, California, best known as a member of The Beach Boys and for their critically acclaimed album, ‘Pet Sounds’.
Starting his music career in 1961, he went on to write over 20 Top 40 singles for The Beach Boys, most notably ‘Pet Sounds’, in 1966. He later went to forge his own career as a solo artist, releasing his debut self-titled solo LP in the late 1980s.
Wilson has continued to release music as often as possible, including 2004's 'Brian Wilson Presents Smile', which earned him a Grammy Award. He was named the 52nd best singer of all time by Rolling Stone, and has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. His latest solo record, 'No Pier Pressure', hit shelves in April 2015.
Brian Wilson played final ‘Pet Sounds’ 50th Anniversary shows across North America and the UK in spring and summer of 2017. After festival appearances last year at Kendal Calling and Camp Bestival, he now returns to the UK in August 2018 for a headline slot as part of Birmingham's skyline Series and huge shows at Royal Windsor and Doncaster Racecourses.
