Northern Ireland-based electronic act The Japanese Popstars have revealed details of their new single ‘Joshua’ featuring Tom Smith, which is due to be released on 13th June. The Editors frontman can be heard providing vocals on the new track, which you can listen to below. The Japanese Popstars have coincided the single’s release with a new Facebook app ‘Joshua the Baboon’, in which fans can feed their Facebook friends to the baboon to create their own personal music video and even contribute to the single’s music video. Cornwall-based rock trio Tall Ships have announced details of their new single ‘Hit the Floor’, which is due for release on 6th June. The band will also be supporting London rockers Three Trapped Tigers on tour this month. Throughout July and August, they will be performing their own headlining dates, as well as a number of festival shows including Bestival and 2000 Trees.

Pop icon Britney Spears confirms that the summer-friendly, up-tempo 'I Wanna Go' is the official third single from her platinum-certified 'Femme Fatale'. 'I Wanna Go' is produced by Shellback, Savan Kotecha and long-time collaborator Max Martin. Innovative director Chris Marrs Piliero has been tapped to direct the video.

If you ignore the needless genre-hopping on 'Bitten By Wolves' (ska, electronica and jangle-pop are all touched upon), there’s a lot to be respected about Welsh trio the Keys. Their pop sensibility and obsession with 60s psychedelia is clearly a positive trait in a world of autotune and overproduction.

American electronic rockers Innerpartysystem have confirmed details of their new single ‘Not Getting Any Better’, which is due for release on 4th July. The track is taken from their recent EP ‘Never Be Content’, which came out earlier this year. Following their previous additions to the Slam Dunk Festival in Leeds and Hertfordshire, the band can now confirm that they will also be performing at Sonisphere and Wakestock.

Organisers of Norway’s Øya Festival have revealed the latest additions to the line-up. Following previously-announced headliners Kanye West and Pulp, the festival organisers can now confirm that Noah and the Whale, Aphex Twin and former Tribe Called QUEST rapper Q-Tip are among the latest additions. Others include Hercules and Love Affair and Manchester group Wu Lyf. See below for full list.

Shed seven have announced a new date at Shepherds Bush Empire following last week's announcement that they are to embark on a UK tour this December. Following the huge success of their last two sell-out tours, the band will return to the road to play a selection of their hit singles whilst also celebrating the 15th anniversary of their platinum selling album 'A Maximum High' by revisiting several of the tracks from that album.

Katy Perry has broken chart records this week by making it to an entire year in the American singles chart top ten. Since releasing ‘California Gurls’ last May, The US singer has become the first artist ever to have their music in the top ten for twelve months. All four of Perry’s releases from her 2010 LP ‘Teenage Dream’ (‘California Gurls’, ‘Teenage Dream’, ‘Firework’ and ‘E.T’) have reached the Number One spot in the US chart.
