Jamaican solo artist Little Roy is to release a new reggae album featuring songs by legendary grunge band Nirvana. The album is called ‘Battle for Seattle’ and is due for release on 5th September. Little Roy will also be performing on the Festival Republic Stage at next weekend’s Reading and Leeds festivals, where you will be able to see him perform some of the tracks from the new album. New Orleans’s The Soul Rebels Brass Band are to release their new album ‘Unlock Your Mind’ on 12th September. The album blends traditional New Orleans-style brass music with elements of soul, hip-hop and funk. During their appearance at last year’s London Jazz Festival, the band were filmed by the BBC performing their version of Gnarls Barkley’s ‘Crazy’ while crossing the city’s Golden Jubilee Bridge – watch the full video below.
