One of the biggest annual indoor festivals ever to take place in the UK is to be launched this May Bank Holiday weekend with the Full Ponty Festival in South Wales making its first appearance on the UK festival calendar.

Major International/Welsh acts, Feeder, Funeral For A Friend and Goldie Lookin’ Chain head up the two day big-top festival in Pontypridd, just north of Cardiff on May 27th and 28th.

Other exciting new and established acts set to appear in the 11,000 capacity, state-of-the-art, tented arena will include Biffy Clyro, Fightstar, The Automatic, Bring Me The Horizon, and The Blackout.

The Full Ponty Festival will take place in the beautiful surroundings of Ynysangharad Park -or Ponty Park as it’s better known locally - and will be complimented by a full supporting fringe programme hosted by several venues across the town. This will feature an impressive array of eclectic world music artists and street entertainers, together with some of Wales and the UK’s top and upcoming alternative comedians. More details will be announced shortly.

The Full Ponty is the brainchild of Wales’ premier events and television production company, Pop Factory Events Ltd. The event will be filmed for later TV transmission.

With more acts to be announced, line-ups for the two days currently look like this:

Saturday May 27th: Feeder, Goldie Lookin’ Chain, The Automatic plus Special Guests to be announced

Sunday May 28th: Funeral For A Friend, Billy Clyro, Fightstar, Bring Me The Horizon, The Blackout, Panel and Days In December.

Tickets for the festival are on sale now and cost £22.50 for the Saturday performances and £19.50 for the Sunday concerts and are available now from the box-office on 02920 230130 or online at  www.seetickets.com.

Gates open around 4pm on both days and further information can be found at www.thefullponty.com
