Underworld To Launch New Album With One-Off London Gig

One of the best British dance acts ever, Underworld, have confirmed a special one-off London performance ahead of the release of their new album.

Underworld have remained at the top of the dance tree throughout their career. With the ever-changing trends of British dance music often being the demise of many other dance acts, the duo have been playing spectacular shows throughout their career which now spans over three decades.

Jumping onboard the Acid House train when it exploded onto the scene in the late 1980’s, Underworld actually started out as a synth-pop group! Darren Emerson departed the trio in 2002 and some would say that Underworld have not been the same since, however, following that, Underworld returned as a duo on a mission to recreate their former glory, with fans anticipating the release of their new album ‘Barking’.

Expected to be released later this year, ‘Barking’ features some big name collaborations from producers such as Paul van Dyk, Mark Knight and D Ramirez. A new track, entitled ‘Scribble’, features drum and bass group High Contrast helping create what dance guru Pete Tong has described as “an essential new tune.”

To launch the new album Underworld have confirmed a special one-off show at The Forum in London, with the show set to consist of the duo’s new material as well as some old classics. The gig goes ahead on September 16th and those who buy tickets for the show will have an option to download the new album ‘Barking’.
