X Factor runners up JLS have been selected to release this year’s official Children In Need single, it has been revealed.
The track, ‘Love You More’ will be released on 14th November. The video for the single was released online this week, and shows the boys looking more melancholic than most fans will be accustomed to. The single is a slow ballad featuring strings and piano, and is the first song to be released that the band have written themselves.
Speaking exclusively on BBC Radio 1’s Chris Moyles show, JLS expressed how honoured they were at the choice: "It's a special single because this is the first single that we've written and it's all for a good cause."
"We've been getting involved in a lot of charity work this side of the year. We've just launched the JLS Foundation, which is our own charity. This is another thing that we're doing to give back and help and support those who need it most."
This year's Children In Need appeal takes place on Friday 19th November and helps raise money for disadvantaged young people around the UK. Children In Need was founded in 1980, and to date has raised over £500 million for good causes across Britain.
