Caitlin Rose has announced details of her new single 'Learning To Ride' which is released on the 29th November via Names Records.
Caitlin Rose released her debut album 'Own Side Now' in August to much excitement, achieving ‘Albums of the Week’ in The Sunday Times, The Independent, Independent on Sunday and The Evening Standard, as well
as top marks in everywhere from the NME to The Sun and Uncut. Having done sessions all over the BBC for the likes of Lauren Laverne, Marc Riley and Bob Harris, Caitlin was also to be found lighting up BBC Radio 2 last week performing for the Radcliffe & Maconie show. She also gave a sterling debut UK TV performance on BBC 2's The Late Review. You can view her charmingly effortless showing below.
Live, Caitlin is a whole experience again. Having just completed a sold out UK tour this month to plethora of a freshly adoring fans, she is witty, charismatic and her voice will pierce the coldest of hearts.
The Independent and The Guardian both scored her performance at The Slaughtered Lamb 4/5, with the latter referring to her as a “rare and prodigious talent”. Not to mention her last minute promotions at both Green Man and End of the Road, the former had her play the main stage and the latter had her replace the flat-on-back Steve Mason, headlining the Big Top on Sunday night.
Rose will also support Nashville’s very own leftfield music royalty Kurt Wagner & Cortney Tidwell as they take their KORT album around mainland Europe.
New single ‘Learning To Ride’ is a swooning and gentle gem that opens the 'Own Side Now' album. Hear a wonderfully pure acoustic rendition below.
