My Chemical Romance Set To Play Wembley Stadium

American punk rockers My Chemical Romance have announced that they will be performing at Wembley Stadium later this month, as part of the official pre-game entertainment for an NFL game.
The band have made an official announcement on their website, stating that they will be play as a part of the NFL Pepsi Max International Series game on Sunday 31st October. They will be playing two songs, ‘Na Na Na (Na Na Na Na Na Na)’ and ‘Welcome To The Black Parade’ on the night which sees the San Francisco 49ers play the Denver Broncos.
It is the fourth in a string of NFL games to be played on English soil, and fans have shown that the sport has taken well across the Atlantic as the first batch of 45,000 tickets initially sold out in just ninety minutes. It is believed that over half a million people initially applied for tickets.
In a statement on the event, Singer Gerard Way said: “Performing to 85,000 fellow NFL fans will be one of the highlights of our European tour – we’re thrilled to be playing to such a huge crowd in such an iconic venue.”
My Chemical Romance are currently preparing for a European tour which features dates in London, Manchester, Paris, Berlin and Hamburg (amongst others). The band are set to release their new album, ‘Danger Days: The True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys’ in November this year.

23rd October - HMV Hammersmith Apollo, London
24th October - O2 Apollo Manchester, Manchester
25th October - Edinburgh Corn Exchange, Edinburgh
