Sade Announces First UK Shows Since 1993 & Tickets

The group Sade, fronted by suave jazz and soul singer Sade Adu, has announced their first UK shows since 1993. Initially confirming three UK shows as part of a European tour, the singer will visit the UK in May 2011.

Formed n 1982 when members of a Latin soul band Pride — Sade Adu, Stuart Matthewman, and Paul Spencer Denman — together with Paul Anthony Cook formed a break-away group and began to write their own material. Sade's debut album 'Diamond Life' stormed to the UK Top Ten in late 1984 and went on to become Platinum. The band were awarded a Grammy for Best New Artist and, to date, Sade's stateside sales are currently certified at 23.5 million units. The band have sold more than 50million units worldwide to date!

At the beginning of 2010, February, Sade released a new album called 'Soldier Of Love'. The criticality-acclaimed album was the band's sixth studio album as well as being their first collection of new material in nearly ten years. Currently touring the new album in America, Sade's website reveals that the band are performing songs from both their classic collection as well as the new album.

Set to be performing over 70 concerts in massive arenas across the world next year, Sade will bring their show to the UK in May. Initially announcing three shows, one in Manchester, one in Birmingham and one in London as part of the European leg of a world tour, full details of Sade's UK shows can be seen below.

27th MEN Arena, Manchester
29th LG Arena, Birmingham
31st O2 Arena, London
