Katy Perry has never been one to shy away from the limelight, however the singer has recently broken her silence about pictures of her which were supposedly photoshopped for a recent VH1 campaign.
The ‘California Gurls’ singer asked marketing executives at VH1 to tone down a poster for their upcoming ‘Divas Salute The Troops’ special. According to a leaked source at the channel, Perry is said to have asked for her chest (in particular) to be less emphasised on the poster.
After a period of speculation about the incident, Perry finally broke her silence on the incident as she Tweeted earlier this week: "I was the one who asked VH1 to tone down my DIGITALIZED image on the poster, particularly the size of my chest... I don't have handlers... but someone @VH1 offices is a gossipmonger & thought they could use a little extra press planting the story." Despite her anger on the issue, Perry has made no comment on her motivations for the move: perhaps she is commiting to her decision that she would cover up more since her recent marriage to Russell Brand?
Katy Perry has also recently reached Number One on the iTunes chart with her latest single, ‘Firework’. The song is the third release from her latest album, ‘Teenage Dream’ to have reached the top position on the chart.
Katy Perry recently announced that she will embark on a UK and Irish tour next Spring.
