A new song by Californian pop star Katy Perry has appeared online this week. The track, said to be entitled ‘Part of Me’, appeared on YouTube and other file-sharing sights earlier this week.
The song was produced by Dr. Luke during the sessions for Katy Perry’s recent album ‘Teenage Dream’, but didn’t end up on the album tracklist. However, fans have been quick to speculate that it will be released this year either as a B-side to her latest single or on a deluxe re-release of the hugely successful ‘Teenage Dream’. The song is a energetic, bass-heavy affair, complete with a lively chorus of synths and the pop energy Perry fans have come to expect.

However, ‘Part of Me’ is not the only Katy Perry track that has surfaced online this week. A collaboration with British rapper Tinie Tempah has also recently appeared on YouTube, where the rapper has lended his vocal talents to a remix of her as-of-yet unreleased album track, ‘E.T.’
The emergence of the collaboration has fuelled rumours that ‘E.T.’ will be the latest release from ‘Teenage Dream’. The singer recently asked her Twitter followers which single she should release next, and was clearly pleased with the response, despite giving no indication of her decision: "Thanks for all your great suggestions for the next single today!" she tweeted on December 13. "Your voice has been heard! We're on the same page..."
