Amy Winehouse Recording New Album Track With Cee Lo Green

Amy Winehouse has recorded a new duet with soul star Cee Lo Green, which will appear on her first album release since 2006’s ‘Back to Black’.

Although the troubled singer has been fighting substance abuse problems and has been out of the scene for a few years, the follow up to her second album is said to be on the same level as her previous work, and that she is as strong as ever.

A friend said “Her voice is as good as ever. She might look frail when you see her but don’t be deceived, the voice is still there.”

36-year-old Cee Lo was working with producer Salaam Remi in St Lucia, where Amy owns a house. She decided to fly out to meet them and has now produced a single with the singer.

Another friend has said “She and Cee Lo just clicked and he said he wouldn’t leave the island until the track was done. Amy’s album is entirely finished, so it’s just a case of the record company deciding when to release it.

In July last year Winehouse was quoted saying her album would be out no later than this January, but no date is confirmed as of yet.
