REM Not Planning To Tour 'Collapse Into Now'

American rock band are to release their latest album, ‘Collapse into Now’, on March 7th, but have announced that they are unlikely to tour the new album.

In a message that will disappoint fans, their manager Bertis Downs made the statement in an interview with American Newspaper ‘The Athens Banner-Herald’.

He explained that the band don’t always like to play out their new albums, and that this album is likely to be one of those that doesn’t make its way on stage.

Back in December, guitarist Peter Buck admitted that the band were still deciding whether to tour the album, but said they were meeting in the New Year to make a decision. He did admit he wanted to tour though, saying "I'd really like to do it, but we've toured a lot recently”.

The three-piece band have recently released another single from the album, “Überlin”, which is the fifth song made digitally available from their new album. You can see the video below.
