Rihanna was caught up in a whirlwind of media speculation yesterday after an author claimed that she had a lesbian relationship with the ‘Umbrella’ star.
According to US gossip site mediatakeout.com, Natajah Burton has written a new tell-all book which claims that she and the Barbadian singer were once linked romantically. The particular extract describes the singer as “Beautiful”, wearing her “hair short with blonde highlights”.
She continued: "Sex came up immediately she was a freak. I wasn't in a sexual mood, I was on my spiritual journey and sex wasn't a part of my plans, it just wasn't important to me. However that didn't stop anything."
According to the website, the book describes (in depth) Rihanna performing a sexual act on the author before going on to answer conference calls in her studio. As with most things from tabloid America, the claims should perhaps be taken with a pinch of salt: the allegations could be more about selling copies of an author’s book based on false allegations than actually revealing genuine details about Rihanna. That being said, a Hollywood source has described the narrative as “very credible”.
The claims could probably come at a better time for Rihanna, who earlier this month tweeted about her fondness for rap newcomer Nikki Minaj, saying: "Me and Nikki in our new crib, lol! Gettin busy on set of FLY!!! Its so hard to keep my hands off!"
