Hot Chip Side Project to Release Debut Album in April

About Group, the supergroup featuring Alexis Taylor of Hot Chip and John Coxon of Spiritualized, are to release their debut album ‘Start and Complete’ on 18th April. The line-up of About Group is completed by members Pat Thomas and Charles Hayward, the drummer from ’70s experimental rock group This Heat.
About Group were formed in 2009 to make an album of improved music. They have previously played live on a number of occasions, including Glastonbury Festival and as support act for Gang Gang Dance. ‘Start and Complete’ was recorded in just one day. The songs were written by Taylor and some were given to the other members of the band only a few days ahead of the album’s recording date. The idea was that no band member would know the songs well enough to have specific parts.
