Texas Announce More UK Summer Shows & Tickets

The band Texas have announced more outdoor summer shows. Confirming three 'racecourse' concerts in June and July, Sharleen Spiteri and co will play Newmarket Racecourse, Epsom Downs Racecourse and Carlisle Racecourse.
These new shows come hot on the heels of news that Texas are the latest act to announce their participation in this year’s Forestry Commission Live Music, where bands perform each summer in spectacular woodland locations around the country.
Since taking their name from the movie, ‘Paris Texas’, the band became mainstays of the UK charts with a string of hits including ‘I Don’t Want A Lover’, ‘Say What You Want’, ‘Black Eyed Boy’, ‘In Our Lifetime’, ‘In Demand’, ‘Inner Smile’, ‘Getaway’, ‘Halo’, ‘Carnival Girl’ and ‘Summer Son’.
Classic albums like ‘Southside’, ‘White On Blonde’ and ‘The Hush’ have ensured their presence among the multi-million-selling album elite while the song-writing duo of singer Sharleen Spiteri and bassist Johnny McElhone have won a prestigious Ivor Novello Award for their back catalogue.
