Willow Smith has announced that her second single to be released will be ‘21st Century Girl’. Clearly sensing that what the world of music needs is another young singer with a dance track, the ‘Whip My Hair’ prodigy has returned with another upbeat number.
Produced by Twin & Alke, the song is an upbeat electro song, which features the young singer blasting out lyrics of self-empowerment over a heavily-produced R&B backing. The song was premiered on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show yesterday morning (February 28th) and was made available to download on iTunes today. The singer is set to perform the track on the popular Oprah Winfrey show later this afternoon.
Will Smith’s daughter has not yet set a release date for her debut album, however the young singer confirmed on Twitter recently that it is definitely in the pipeline. She said: "Are you excited for my album?! It's coming soon........VERY soon!!"
Luckily, British fans will not have to wait long to see the ‘Whip My Hair’ singer. Smith is set to support Justin Bieber for the 13 dates of his UK tour, which will begin this Friday (March 4th).
