Reading & Leeds Festival Line-Up & Ticket Details Coming Soon

With V Festival, Sonisphere, Download, Isle of Wight and Glastonbury having made announcements about who’s playing their festivals and when to buy the tickets, Reading & Leeds fans will be pleased to learn they don’t have much longer to wait to start getting excited themselves.

With internet forums already rife with rumours about who will be headlining, the first batch of bands for 2011's Reading and Leeds line up are due to be announced on Monday March 21st at 7pm. Ticket details for the annual August bank holiday event are also set to be revealed at the same time.

The hot rumour since late last year has been for The Strokes to be one of the headline acts. So far the only festival they have confirmed for 2011 is Benicassim in Spain, leaving the door open for an exclusive deal with the dual-site festival. The Strokes new album ‘Angles’ is out soon and it seems unlikely they wouldn’t play any of the major UK festivals as promotion.

Other hot rumours for headline acts are for Muse and My Chemical Romance to maintain the festivals reputation as one of the top UK rock festivals. Typically in recent years Reading and Leeds organisers have booked bands on exclusive deals, and with neither band yet booked anywhere else, that trio seems as good a guess as any.

With acts spread across several stages throughout the three days, Reading & Leeds offer a great opportunity to not only see your favourite bands play massive headline gigs on the main stage but also to discover some of the hottest up and coming talent. Many of the biggest bands around today have previously played early slots on Reading and Leeds former stages so it’s always worth getting out of your tent early!

Ticket packages for both sites will be released along with the line-up announcement on Monday March 21st at 7pm. Usually there are options for a weekend with or without camping as well as individual day tickets. Full details will be announced on Stereoboard.com when they are announced.
