My Chemical Romance Saving Scrapped Album For When They Split

My Chemical Romance have suggested that their recent scrapped album will be released at some point, but probably not until the group decide to call it a day. Their recent release, ‘Danger Days: The True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys' was difficult for the band to create, with a whole recorded album being cast aside for them to start the writing process again.

However, in a recent interview with Rockaaa.com, guitarist Frank Iero suggested that the scrapped album will be released eventually. He said: “At some point it would be nice for some of them to see the light of day but there is no plan for that at the moment. Right now they are just for us but I actually did have this idea when we were making the record.

"I said ‘I have this great idea that we should record two records and release one and put the other away in the vault so when the band breaks up so it would be the last MCR record ever’.”

Meanwhile the group, who recently picked up the ‘Best International Band’ award at the NME awards, are strong favourites to perform at this year’s Reading and Leeds festivals. Although tickets and line-up won’t be available until March 21st, My Chemical Romance are among a group of top name acts being strongly linked with this years event. Other key acts rumoured to be included in the line-up are Arctic Monkeys, The Strokes, Pulp and Muse.
