West London group Hard-Fi, who achived chart success with their 2005 debut album 'Stars Of CCTV' have announced three low-key UK shows for April.
Hard-Fi are the product of their environment; the sound of the suburbs (Staines in West London to be precise). The band achieved chart success with their third single, 'Hard to Beat' and then followed-up with other successful singles such as 'Cash Machine' and 'Living for the Weekend', which all reached top 15 in the UK Singles Chart.
Debut album 'Stars of CCTV' was released on 4th July 2005 and although receiving critical acclaim (NME called it album of the year and it was also nominated for the Mercury Prize and two BRIT Awards, Best British Group and Best British Rock Act), it didn't reach #1 in the UK albums chart until six months later on 22nd January 2006.
In more recent news, Hard-Fi posted a message on their official website in October last year revealing that they were starting production on a new album. Later, on February 14th this year, frontman Richard Archer posted an update on the band's Facebook page, which revealed that six of the eleven album tracks had been mixed.
Although no official release date has been set for the album, Hard-Fi have since confirmed that they are getting closer to completing the record with these new shows providing a perfect opportunity for the band to preview some of their new material.
Hard Fi announce 3 low-key shows for next month:
Cooler, Bristol - 17th April 2011
Jam, Brighton - 19th April 2011
Bodega, Nottingham - 20th April 2011
