The Streets are to release new single 'OMG' on April 18th.
2011 marks the year that The Streets released their final album, almost a decade since his game-changing debut ‘Original Pirate Material’.
'Computers and Blues' released in early February, was met with critical acclaim across the board and the ongoing farewell tour of the UK has served to remind us what a pioneering talent Mike Skinner is and what a great legacy of music The Streets will leave behind as he prepares for a future away from geezers and cigarette lighters.
In true Skinner observational style, the next single 'OMG', tip-toes decorously through the minefield of Facebook relationship status. “It’s all about what you’re willing to tell the world, isn’t it? Now if you’re meeting a girl looking them up on Facebook is literally the first thing you do, but you wouldn’t have been able to do that before, and the etiquette of this new show we’re all putting on is incredibly complex.”
