Singer, songwriter and guitarist Joan Armatrading has announced a lengthy UK tour for October and November 2012.
Joan Armatrading's rich, distinctive voice and passionate yet tender blend of Pop Jazz, Folk and Blues music has earned her a place in British music history. A hugely influential songwriter and singer, as well as a Grammy and Brit award nominee, Joan has received an Ivor Novello award for her outstanding collection of contemporary songs.
2007 saw Joan become the first UK female artist to debut at number 1 in the Billboard Blues chart with her album 'Into The Blues'. She is now regarded as one of Britain's most unusual and gifted talents whose live performances are not to be missed.
Last year Joan released her latest album 'This Charming Life', which was widely seen as a return to her guitar-based singer-songwriter pop-rock. Shortly after the release she embarked on an international tour and, following her Royal Albert Hall show, a live CD/DVD album titled 'Live at the Royal Albert Hall', along with two tracks from a concert in Denver, Colorado, U.S., was released earlier this year in February.
