Friendly Fires Reveal Dates For November UK Tour & Tickets

Following the release of their latest album 'Pala' on May 16th, Friendly Fires have revealed a string of UK tour dates for November.

Friendly Fires lie somewhere between the poppiness of Snap!, the funkiness of Prince, and the electronic dance-iness of Daft Punk. Discussing thier latest release 'Pala' with NME, the band claimed that the record is a "progression, not a departure" from their critically-acclaimed self titled debut.

In an interview before their performance at Radio 1’s Big Weekend (May 14th), the band stated that they intended for their second record to built on the success of their first, rather than creating something entirely different.

Speaking to the magazine, Friendly Fires guitarist Edd Gibson said: "We just took stock of our first record. We realised we're trying to push our new music in the same direction as the stuff at the end of our last album like 'Jump in the Pool' and 'Kiss of Life'. It was definitely a natural progression, rather than a deliberate departure."

Jack Savidge also commented, stating that one of the band’s main intentions with their second album was to "keep things tasteful". He said: "I don't think we'll be doing a collaboration with The Black Eyed Peas any time soon anyway. We'd like to keep things tasteful."

‘Pala’ was released across Europe (including the UK) on May 16th.
