Kiwi five-piece The Naked and Famous have confirmed they will hit the UK road later this year, announcing an eight-date tour for November.
The Naked and Famous play thumping rocked-up synth-pop that distils the sound of MGMT at their most popular. Releasing their debut studio album 'Passive Me, Aggressive You' on 6th September last year, The Naked and Famous are set to bring their summery southern hemisphere electro-pop to the wintry shores of Britain later this year.
Forming as a duo in 2008, Thom Powers and Alisa Xayalith met at school and were fans of Massive Attack, Bjork, PJ Harvey and Tricky. Later joined by Aaron Short, David Beadle and Jesse Wood the quintet was complete and comparisons to MGMT and Passion Pit soon followed after the band found mainstream success in their homeland.
Capturing the interest of Radio 1 DJs Fearne Cotton and Nick Grimshaw, The Naked and Famous' self-produced album 'Passive Me, Aggressive You' has cemented their place in the hearts of a horde of new UK fans.
