Indian Folk Artist Raghu Dixit Returns For UK Tour & Tickets

Critically acclaimed contemporary Indian folk star Raghu Dixit returns this summer for an exclusive series of UK dates. Following the success of his show at the Queen Elizabeth Hall earlier this year, Raghu will play four dates this July and August including London, Glasgow, Manchester and Birmingham.

July 12th – Hoxton Hall, London
Aug 3rd – HMV Institute, Birmingham 3 August
Aug 4th – Oran Mor, Glasgow
Aug 9th – Band on The Wall, Manchester
Described as the pioneer of ‘folk-rock fusion’, Raghu’s live performances deliver songs in a fluid combination of English, Hindi and Kannada set to virtuoso guitars and violin, drawing on blues, reggae, Rock, Bhangra, Latin and Sufi.
His debut self-titled album became India’s biggest selling non-Bollywood record in 2009 paving the way for a meteoric rise to fame. With tours in Australia, Abu Dhabi and the US, Raghu performed at premier world music festival Womad in the UK before embarking on a 15 date tour which saw him appearing on the coveted Later with... Jools Holland.
Having just signed a deal for his debut LP to be release on renowned world music label Wrasse (Amadou & MAriam, K’Naan) and a worldwide publishing deal with Sony/ATV, Raghu’s exclusive shows this summer are not to be missed!
