LaFaro To Release New Album 'Easy Meat' In September

Northern Irish noisemongers LaFaro have announced the release of their hotly anticipated second album 'Easy Meat' on 12th September.
Their debut was acclaimed by the likes of Kerrang! and RockSound and this release is set to gain them even more attention. The Belfast quartet have crafted a record that retains the ferocious character of its predecessor whilst also featuring a more metallic side, akin to the likes of Helmet and Northern Irish legends Therapy? Seemingly taking delight in being as far from the influential jazz bassist Scott LaFaro, after whom the band was named, as possible, the album will be preceded by the pulverising single 'Meat Wagon' on 29th August.
The band are determined that this release will hit dance floors like the blitz and encourage everyone to have a good time with frontman Johnny Black saying that the band “hark back to the time when rock music was still fun”. With the grungier element of their rifftastic post-hardcore sound having disappeared, this is a heavier release but one that is all the better for it. Imagine a band that sounds like The Jesus Lizard battering Metallica in a bar fight and you’re getting quite close. This is clearly going to be one of 2011’s hardest rocking releases.
The band will be touring the UK later this year and 'Easy Meat' will be available on CD, LP and via download through Smalltown America Records.
