Mastodon Unveil The Names Of Four New Tracks From Forthcoming Album 'The Hunter'

Mastodon are hard at working finishing up their new album, officially called 'The Hunter'. Just to wet your appetite, the band have also released the names of 4 tracks. They are:

'Blasteroids'
'The Octopus Has No Friends'
'Stargasm'
'Curl of the Burl'

The band is currently recording at Doppler Studios in their hometown of Atlanta with producer Mike Elizondo. Drum tracks have been previously completed in Los Angeles at the legendary Sound City Studios where Nirvana’s masterwork 'Nevermind' was recorded.

As with all of their albums, Mastodon, which is bassist/vocalist Troy Sanders, guitarist/vocalist Brent Hinds, guitarist Bill Keliher, and drummer Brann Dailor, will take a different tack and musical approach to the music on this outing. Check www.mastodonrocks.com for studio updates.

Stay tuned for more information on the album very soon. Make sure you catch Mastodon at one of their spectacular live shows this summer in Europe and the UK.

Mastodon UK & Ireland Tour Dates are as follows:

Fri July 8th 2011 - Knebworth Park, Nr Stevenage
Sun July 10th 2011 - Knebworth House, Stevenage
