The Killers To Play New Material At Hard Rock Calling

The Killers have hinted that they will be debuting a new track or two during their performance at Hard Rock Calling tonight (June 24th). The Las Vegas rockers are set to play their large Hyde Park show this evening, following on from two intimate shows at London’s Scala.
The band are currently working on the follow-up to their 2008 hit LP ‘Day & Age’, and claimed earlier this week that they have “four or five strong songs” written for the new album.
Talking to British newspaper The Daily Star about their current English jaunt, drummer Ronnie Vannucci suggested that there is a “surprise” in store for fans tonight.
He said: “Hard Rock Calling is a fucking great show – I love that show. We’re having our cake and eating it too. These intimate gigs are sweaty, where everyone’s like five feet away and you can see the whites of their eyes. You really connect on a more immediate and personal level.
"But when you have 70,000 people, your gestures have to be bigger. It's so important about being able to address a group, making a group feel as one. And that's something that's a learned thing, we're still trying to get our heads around it."
He continued, hinting at the possibility of new shows for tonight’s show: “As for us playing new songs, we might have a surprise for you."
