The legendary Lionel Richie has been confirmed as headliner for BBC Radio 2's Live In Hyde Park event. The performance will be the singing superstar's only UK show for 2011.
Joining Richie on what is fast becoming a star-studded line-up is Jools Holland who will be performing alongside special guests Sandie Shaw and Ruby Turner with BBC Radio 2 Breakfast Show host Chris Evans set to announce further fantastic acts in the line up throughout the month.
Every Radio 2 listener should grab tickets for this special concert which celebrates the best of the station's music with one special day of live performances from a starry array of top UK and international artists.
Speaking about the event, Chris Evans had the following to say. “Radio 2's Hyde Park shows are without a doubt one of the highlights of my year - a beautiful location, an astounding line-up of world class artists including superstar Lionel Richie, and thousands of the great British public coming together to enjoy

Lionel Richie will headline BBC Radio 2 Live In Hyde Park on Sunday 11th September 2011.
Gates open 2.30pm - entertainment on stage from 3.30pm - 10pm
