Matt Bellamy and Kate Hudson Name Their Child Bingham

Muse frontman Matt Bellamy has had a baby with his fiancée Kate Hudson – and the pair have named the child Bingham.

Announcing the name in a message through Twitter, Bellamy revealed that the bizarre name was taken after family links. So yes, that means the unfortunate kid’s full name is ‘Bingham Hawn Bellamy’. It comes after footballer David Beckham’s newborn was oddly named Harper Seven (bet she’s a massive Ben 10 fan).

You may be wondering how ‘family connections ‘can lead to naming your child Bing, but it turns out that Bellamy’s mother’s maiden name was in fact Bingham. But even more randomly, Kurt Russell’s father is also strangely called Bingham – and Kate was brought up by Kurt as a child.

The Supermassive Black Hole singer wrote on his Twitter "Mum and baby are strong and healthy. Mum was a warrior, Bing popped out after 4.5 hours of intense pushing!". The baby weighs a healthy 7lb and 12oz, and can look forward to an easy lifestyle with a rockstar dad and an actress mum – the only thing he’ll have to worry about is getting teased about his name. You never know though, he could make a fortune from advertising rights for that annoying search engine ‘Bing’!
