Kings of Leon's Future in Doubt After Frontman Caleb Walks Off Stage

Kings of Leon’s fans will be in doubt over the future of their favourites after an astonishing and shocking performance which saw frontman Caleb Followill drunkenly parading around the stage before leaving the show altogether (video embedded below).

The show, held in Dallas, Texas last Friday, was part of their current US tour which sees the band playing gigs until November. They have already re-scheduled the show, as well as a show in Houston which they cancelled after Caleb’s walkout, for September 21st and 22nd respectively. Caleb was in a hell of a state during the gig, singing terribly and shouting random outbursts towards the crowd.

“My voice is completely 100 percent wrong, I'm sorry” slurred Caleb. “Do you know what? I'm going to drink some beer and I'm going to drink some tequila and I'm going to have a good time, and for the record I'm not drunk... I'm just f**king hot.

“I'm about to fall down here because I'm so goddamn hot. I have no goddamn idea what the fuck is going on, all I know is that I'm married to the prettiest fucking girl in the whole world.

“I'm gonna go backstage for a second. I'm gonna vomit, I'm gonna drink a beer and I'm gonna come back out here and I'm gonna play three more songs.”

Caleb’s brother Jared Followill then decided to instead end the gig there, after it was clear that Caleb could not finish the gig.

“We are so unbelievably sorry, there's no words right now, honestly it's beyond our control. Caleb's just maybe a little unfit to play the rest of the show. We're so sorry guys, we love you all so much. I know you guys fucking hate us, I can't apologise enough.

“It's really not our fault. He can't play the rest of the show. We will be back as soon as possible. Fucking hate Caleb, not us.”

Jared’s apology (as well as Caleb’s incident) suggests that there may be trouble brewing in Kings of Leon headquarters, leaving KoL supporters unsure on whether they will be seeing much more of the ‘Sex on Fire’ singers in future.
