Mötley Crüe's Nikki Sixx Jumps into Crowd After Spotting Fan Filming

Tuesday, 02 August 2011 Written by Elliott Batte

American heavy metal classics Mötley Crüe shocked audience members in Maryland last Saturday as bassist Nikki Sixx dived into the crowd to confront a fan who was filming the whole gig on professional recording equipment.

The band were playing at Outlaw Jam in Fredrick Fields, when the bassist spotted the crowd member idly filming away with a professional set up near the stage (you have to wonder how the guy managed to set up professional equipment inside the crowd at a metal gig). Sixx decided not to let it slide, opted not to have the security deal with him and even felt Dave Grohl’s method of shouting wildly at the culprit from the stage wasn’t enough to deal with the wannabe cameraman.

So, he leapt into the mass of metal heads to screams of delight from other fans and proceeded to deal with the man himself. You can see the dude’s camera being confiscated on the video below, taken by a smarter, more secretive camera’d up fan. The fan was later removed from the site with his equipment, while Nikki returned to the stage to belt out more Mötley classics. Rock n’ Roll at it’s finest.
