Snow Patrol Unveil Video For ‘Called Out In The Dark’ – Watch Now

Snow Patrol have released the video for their latest single 'Called Out In The Dark'. The single, which will feature on a new EP, is the first to be released by the Northern Irish five-piece since 2009. The video features frontman Gary Lightbody struggling to make an appearance as he is replaced on set by ‘Pirates Of The Caribbean’ actor Jack Davenport.
The video is directed by US filmmaker Brett Simon, who is known for his work on The Killers' 'Somebody Told Me', Lostprophets’ ‘A Town Called Hypocrisy’ and Rise Against’s ‘Audience of One’. You can watch the official video at the bottom of this article.
Snow Patrol’s upcoming LP ‘Fallen Empires’ was recorded in Los Angeles with Jacknife Lee, who has also worked on the band’s three previous releases. As well as his Snow Patrol output, Lee is known for his work on U2’s ‘How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb’ and Bloc Party’s ‘Weekend In The City’.
Meanwhile, singer Gary Ligthbody recent praised U2 in an interview with Absolute Radio. Speaking about the veteran Irish rockers, he said: "They want to compete, they want to be relevant, they want to kick ass, but their love of music is kind of overwhelming, they have a great respect for people in bands, and that is not always the case when we've supported bands."
Lightbody continued: "U2 have taken us under their wings, and they're big wings to be taken under I have to say, but you learn an awful lot in there."
