New York-based pop-glam-rockers Scissor Sisters have announced that they’re working on a fourth studio album.
The band rose to fame in 2004 with their eponymous debut album and continued their success through to their second, with their catchy riffs and high-pitched vocals – their most famous singles include ‘Take Your Mama’ and ‘I Don’t Feel Like Dancin’’. With their third album, the band took a more “cohesive” approach and strayed from their original influences, producing a different sounding record altogether.
So fans will be probably be pleased to hear that the band will be returning to their original signature sound with their fourth LP effort.
“Our last album Night Work was the most cohesive album we've done,” admitted vocalist Ana Matronic. “Whereas the others were a bit of a grab bag.”
“I think this might be going back to being like that. We sometimes say we should do a concept album but we are a concept, we have a philosophy of what we do. We're stupid - that's our concept!
“We spend a lot of time on the road but whenever we're home we're hard at it. We have a lot of music. We wanna get it out asap.”
