The Three Welsh Tenors Announce Details Of Live Dates & New Album

Wales is renowned for its vocal talent.....Tom Jones, Shirley Bassey, Katherine Jenkins, Bryn Terfel, the National Eisteddfod, the Cardiff Singer of the World...not to mention Shakin’ Stevens, John Cale, Aled
Jones, Duffy, Charlotte Church ...  the list goes on.

No surprise then that The Three Welsh Tenors should chart straight off with their debut album – aptly titled 'Three Welsh Tenors' -  at Number Twenty-Nine in the classical music charts.

The album features a mix of much loved classics from opera to hymns, from musicals to contemporary songs. There are also new compositions written especially for the Three Welsh Tenors by composers Robat Arwyn and Caradog Williams.

Other songs on the CD include Luna, Caruso, Dafydd y Garreg Wen, a medley of Welsh Hymns, 'You’ll Never Walk Alone' and more. Renowned harpist Catrin Finch guests on the album and Only Men Aloud conducter,
Tim Rhys-Evans, contributed vocal arrangements to a number of the tracks. The producer was Siwan Evans and the orchestrations were composed and conducted by John Quirk.

The Three Welsh Tenors comprise Rhys Meirion, Aled Hall and Alun Rhys-Jenkins. All three are professional tenors with solo careers in their own rights. When they came together to sing as a trio at the Celtfest extravaganza in Cardiff as part of a spectacular line up of stars to entertain rugby fans prior to a Wales vs. New Zealand match, they blew the audience away.

This year they opened the National Eisteddfod in Wrexham Friday, July 29th and next month a major London date is planned for mid-October. This precedes a series of live dates throughout Wales.
