Obsessed Fan Leaves Husband For Westlife

A crazed Westlife fan has revealed how she was forced to choose between her boyband idols and her husband – and chose Westlife.

44 year-old Jane Holmes has to be one of the biggest Westlife fans in the world, and has spent over £1,000 on eight tattoos featuring the band and over £30,000 following them around on tour, causing her and her husband financial strain. She was also constantly stopped in the street as she is recognised as such a huge fan.

After her husband Norman finally reached boiling point over her obsession, he gave her the ultimate decision: Westlife or your husband. And, to Norman’s surprise (and probably horror), Jane straight away opted for the Irish boyband.

“I think he thought I was joking but he soon realised I wasn't,” Jane told The Daily Mirror. “I always get stopped in the street and he couldn't hack the attention I was getting. The concerts take up a lot of my time and money. Westlife are a really big part of my life.

“I'm completely devoted to them and the tattoos are my way of showing my loyalty. I think to think I am their biggest fan. It's my only hobby. I don't smoke, I don't drink, so Westlife are my only addiction.”

While she can now spend all of her time controlling her Westlife obsession without the burden of her husband, the experience will be short-lived – as the iconic pop group have announced that they’ll break up at the end of their 2012 tour. And, as you can imagine, she wasn’t happy when she found out about the news.

“When I heard they were splitting I was devastated. I threw my phone down and cried. I love them for the music – and they are quite hunky.”
