15 years after the release of their debut album ‘All Change’, Cast have reformed and are back with a new album ‘Troubled Times’.
Their first single off the latest album ‘See that Girl’, will be released in time for Christmas on December 19th. The group’s first two albums back in the nineties were huge hits, both going platinum with the third making the top ten album charts to coincide with their ten Top Ten singles.
The group originally formed by amalgamating two other bands - The LA’s and Shack, and had big hits with ‘Walkaway’ and ‘Sandstorm’. The group also had the biggest ever selling album for the Polydor record label, working with renowned producer John Leckie (who has produced albums for the Stone Roses, The Fall, The Verve and Radiohead).
All original members of the band have reunited along with Leckie to produce a melodic and beautifully written album.
Lead singer and songwriter John Power said: "Getting back with the band and working with John Leckie again after all these years apart was just how I envisioned it when I started writing the songs for this album. Then it was all about putting into words what it was I was feeling”.
The Album ‘Troubled Times’ will be released in February 2012 after a handful of shows in December. A full 2012 UK tour will be announced soon.
