Lily Allen Thanks Fans For Support Follwoing Child Birth

Pop singer-songwriter Lily Allen has taken to Twitter to thank fans for their support after she gave birth to her first child, after previously tragically suffering two miscarriages.

Allen, who is currently taking a long break from the music scene, gave birth to her baby daughter on November 25th. During the pregnancy and birth, she was flooded with messages from well-wishers and fans, and has now written back to those people through the social networking site to say thanks.

Allen wrote: “Thank you for all the flowers and lovely messages everybody. Very touching indeed. nuff luv x x”. She had also previously described the birth of her child in a short and sweet tweet – ‘Totes Amaze’.

The singer has been out of the pop scene since 2009, and isn’t showing any signs of returning any time soon either. After deciding not to renew her record contract, Allen told fans that she may go in to acting, before deciding to open Lucy in Disguise, her own London-based fashion store. She has also apparently been penning songs for the on stage adaptation of Bridget Jones Diary, which is scheduled to go live next year.
