Black Keys Drummer 'Wants To Punch Carl Barat In The Face'

American rock duo The Black Keys have spoken out about their hate for groups who pose as rockstars and rock bands for the image – and that drummer Patrick Carney would love nothing more than to punch the Libertine’s Carl Barat in the face.
The pair were being interviewed by the Guardian when they began talking about how they don’t have a commercially profitable image, and how much they hate artists who pose as rockers. They then went on to name and shame Carl Barat as a poser – before admitting that they no longer get recognised when out in the UK.
“We've just never given a shit about image,” vocalist and guitarist Dan Auerbach explained. “And generally hate people who do. There's nobody Pat wants to punch in the face more than Carl Barat, you know.”
Carney continued: “Aw, I've been making fun of Carl Barât all day, he looks like a prick, but he reminds me of how I thought I was coming off when I was 23. A dude, y'know. We went out last night and only two or three people recognised us at a hip bar in Camden. I love that.”
