OK Go Showcase Incredible New 'Needing/Getting' Video

Veteran Chicago rockers OK Go have unveiled a startling new video for their track ‘Needing/Getting’, which is trending on Twitter having received over 1,000,000 views in just one day.

Created in partnership with Chevrolet, the boys are seen entering a car, strapped in as if they’re about to race – yet still partnered with their instruments. Then, all four set of on their journey, using the car door or roof as percussion and a small guitar and vocals to perform the track.

But then, after a couple of seconds, the true awesomeness of the video is revealed – as they drive through two miles of desert track flanked by instruments like pianos, guitars, bottles and drums which they ‘play’ by driving past with big sticks attached to the car. Innovative to say the least.

The video apparently took four months of preparation and four days of shooting and recording – frontman Damian Kulash took stunt driving lessons, while each of the vertically-hung pianos was set so that no matter where on the piano they hit, it would always play the right note.

The result is one of the most amazing and jaw-dropping videos of modern day – and you can watch it embedded below.
