Former Liberal Democrat MP Lembit Opik Launches Pop Career

Never a man to shy away from publicity, former British Liberal Democrat politician Lembit Opik has now tried his hand at being a rockstar, featuring in the music video for 'Pop Wound' by indie-rockers The Good Suns.

I know you really cant wait to see this but hang on a second, first here is some information on the track. Directed by Christopher Poole, the music video is the visual accompaniment to The Good Sun's second single 'Pop Wound' available through the Animal Farm record label.

Lembit appears throughout the video lip-syncing his way through the song while throwing some pretty nifty “dad rock” shapes on a London rooftop. Bizarre. Check it out for yourself below.

Lembit Opik lost his seat for the Welsh constituency of Montgomeryshire in 2010. He has since appeared on the ITV reality gameshow 'I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here' and has also ventured into stand-up comedy.

Please. Someone give him a job.
