Foo Fighters And Deadmau5 Join Forces For Grammy Performance

Rock legends Foo Fighters are to perform a set alongside dance and house icon deadmau5 at the Grammy Award ceremony on Sunday February 12th.

ImageThe show, which will see a lot of other artists and musicians performing, will apparently celebrate electronic music – and will also see David Guetta working with Chris Brown and Lil Wayne to put on a one-off electronic crossover experience. Grohl and the rest of the band will reportedly pool their talent to produce a remix of the Foo Fighters’ hit ‘Rope’. deadmau5 has already previously remixed the track – you can check out his reworking below.

The performance, as well as Guetta’s, Brown’s and Lil Wayne’s, will take place in a 1,000 capacity tent away from the actual ceremony itself. Also set to perform at the ceremony are stars like Adele, Rihanna, Bruce Springsteen, Katy Perry, Coldplay and Sir Paul McCartney among others.

The Foo Fighters themselves could be in a for a very successful award show, as they’ve managed to rack up a massive six nominations, whilst deadmau5 is up for three, including the Best Remixed Recording award for his cover of ‘Rope’. Kanye West tops the nominations leaderboard with seven.

Wed 6th June – RDS Simmonscourt, Dublin
Thurs 7th June – Kings Hall Complex, Belfast
Fri 8th June – Dores, Inverness
