Deadmau5, real name Joel Zimmerman, is a Canadian progressive house and electro producer and DJ from Toronto, Ontario, known for performing in a costume head, which resembles a mouse.
Starting his music career in 1998, he released his debut album, ‘Get Scraped’, in 2005, which was followed by ‘Vexillology’, in 2006, and his breakthrough release, ‘Random Album Title’, which came out in 2008 and contained the UK #14 single, I Remember. ‘For Lack of a Better Name’ was released in 2009, and was his major label debut, with ‘4×4=12’ following in 2010 and ‘Album Title Goes Here’ in 2012, which gave him his first Top Ten. ‘while(1<2)’, in 2014, continued his success and he released his latest album, ‘W:/2016ALBUM/’, in 2016.
Back in 2018 his latest release was 'Where's The Drop?', an orchestral compilation album, in March 2018. Deadmau5 will headline London’s Printworks in November, his first gig in the capital since 2014. He'll then play a Mau5trap show at the Warehouse Project in November with special guests.
