Legendary crooner Tony Bennett has announced he is to return to the UK this Summer, revealing a string of dates for shows in Birmingham, Glasgow, Liverpool, London and Manchester.
Born and raised in New York City Anthony Dominick Benedetto, better known as singing legend Tony Bennett, started his career at an early age and went on to achieve his first number one ‘Because Of You’ at the age of 25. Refining his approach to singing and encompassing Jazz into his shows, the singer’s songs were rife in romancing the late 1950’s as he churned out hit after hit.
More recently, last year Tony Bennett joined the late Amy Winehouse for a cover of ‘Body And Soul’. The track was the last recording Amy made before her death and featured on Tony's 2011 album 'Duets II'. Check out the video below.
Although the multi-award winning Tony Bennett hasn’t charted since 1967, these new shows will be a rare opportunity to see and hear the legend perform live!
