Paul Van Dyk The Latest Star To Criticise Madonna For Alleged Drug References

Award-winning EDM producer Paul Van Dyk is the latest electronic artist to criticise Madonna after she seemingly glamourised class A drug MDMA, the active chemical in Ecstasy, following deadmau5’s Tumblr rant at the star – in which he branded her a ‘fucking idiot’.
Madonna was attacked after she asked the crowd at Miami’s Ultra Music Festival if anyone “had seen ‘Molly’”, which is a street name for the drug – which is extremely popular at electronic music events. deadmau5 was extremely unhappy with the comments, and said that he ‘fucking cant smack my head hard enough right now.’
Now, Van Dyk has joined in with the comments about Madge, and told Billboard: “I don't think she was thinking much. The only thing she was probably thinking was, 'I need to connect with a young crowd,' and she made the biggest mistake of her career. Madonna was so stupid to actually call out drug abuse in front of a crowd of 18-year-olds. This is not what our music is about. It's really counterproductive.”
deadmau5 and Madonna have since patched things up following their spat, so it’ll be interesting to see how or if Madonna reacts to Van Dyk’s fresh comments surrounding the episode.
