Download Festival Confirm More Bands For 2012 Line-Up

Andy Copping, organiser of the annual Download Festival, has announced more than 10 new bands for this summer’s three-day metal and rock event.

Amongst the names are Swedish rockers Refused, who announced their comeback earlier in the year, and the new look version of hardcore band Gallows, who are now fronted by ex-Alexisonfire man Wade McNeil.

Kids in Glass Houses are back following on from the great success of their album ‘Gold Blood’, which came out last year, and will be joined by alternative rockers Lower than Atlantis. More alternative, hardcore and nu metal can be found in the form of Four Year Strong, Don Bronco and Edguy.

If you’re after something slightly different, you can check out electronic producer Porter Robinson, who’ll be performing alongside T.Mills, and theatrical rock troupe Fearless Vampire Killers.

Also added are Kobra & The Lotus, Rival Sons and Black Spiders, who complete what is an epic line-up from Copping once again.

On the main-stages you’ll catch The Prodigy, Metallica (who are playing their seminal ‘Black Album’ in full as part of a two hour-plus set) and Black Sabbath. A full line-up can be seen here.

Download Festival takes place from 8th-10th June. If you want to go and need tickets, check the link below.
